Tile & Grout Cleaning FAQ’s for our Myrtle Beach Customers
Typically tile and grout is dry within 2-4 hours. If it has been sealed it can take 3-6 hours. The results of the grout cleaning can sometimes change within the first 24-48 hours. there can be issues of blotching and discoloration while the grout is in the drying process. Please allow ample time for drying before fully evaluating the results. You may walk on the tile and grout with caution soon after cleaning. Please limit the use until fully dry.
We do offer an additional service to a standard tile cleaning*Tile and grout (grout) sealing: This product is designed to apply a layer of protective coating between your tile and grout to prevent everyday dirt and spills from setting into the pores of the tile and grout.
We are able to accommodate some “same-day” services. However, it is recommended to give us 2-5 business days to fit you into the schedule. the further notice you give us the better we are able to serve you.
Residential customers should have their tile and grout cleaned every 6-12 months depending upon traffic. If your property is used as a rental property, we advise having the tile and grout cleaned seasonally (3-6 months). Many tile and grout manufacturers recommend these time periods as well.
In some circumstances it may be better to stain the grout instead of just clean and seal it. If there are stubborn areas of your grout that just wont come clean; grout staining is going to be the best option to fix the visual appearance. The staining process that we recommend is where you first clean the tile and grout the follow the cleaning with a stain/ sealer process. This is a tedious process and will not just renew the color of your grout but will also seal it.
If you have had this type of staining done in the past and are having your tile and grout cleaned, you need to be aware that the cleaning process does remove the original sealer that was applied. This may cause a discolored look to the grout in which case you would need to have the grout re-stained to get back the original look. If you do not; we cannot guarantee the esthetic appearance of the grout. If you have any other specific questions you can call our office or submit an e-mail request form on this site and someone will get back wit you as soon as possible.
